Two years ago, the world watched in horror as New York lawmakers gleefully celebrated the passage of a new law legalizing abortions for basically any reason up to birth. Gov. Andrew Cuomo even ordered that state landmarks be lit with pink lights to celebrate the occasion.
Then, last week, abortion activists dressed in green jumped up and down and cried with joy in the streets of Argentina after their government voted to abandon their pro-life laws and legalize the killing of unborn babies for any reason up to 14 weeks.
Society used to think of abortions as a “necessary tragedy, certainly not something to celebrate,” but “that appears to have changed, and dramatically,” Glenn T. Stanton, the director of family formation studies at Focus on the Family, wrote at The Federalist this week.
Stanton pointed to a recent interview by Planned Parenthood CEO Alexis McGill Johnson as another example of this brazen new disregard for the value of human life and family. Continue reading…
